The Ball is in your courts Your Honour Chief Justice

Today (23rd Aug) CBNSat will be having their Supreme Court hearing. According to the previous Supreme Court hearing the licensing issues will have to be finalised by today. As of now we are getting reports that the highly efficient Media Ministry has not done anything. This shows the respect that they have for the law in this country. They obviously think that thay are above the law.

We know that the Chief Justice has issued some landmark verdicts and we hope that the same will apply once again. The Media Ministry asks for one month at each court hearing to issue the license and this is nothing but a ploy to drive the company bankrupt.

We demand that even if the license is issued or not today we want CBNSat to be back on air from today. The hanky panky of the Media Ministry must stop. Your Honour Chief Justice we request you to rule that CBNSat should start operations immediately and please take stern action against the officials who are holding ministerial posts since they are holding such posts because the people voted them into power.

Sir, you are the only one who can end this case that has been instigated by corrupt officials.

We would like to request all our readers to keep us posted on the time of todays hearing and also update us on the result of todays hearing.

Ohhh my God... when will this stop..!!

Again they have been successful of shattering the dream of all CBNSat customers. It has been over 2 months of frustration and disappointment and it continues.

I was looking forward to this day for some hope. Result - Disappointment.

Why can't they carryout there investigation or what ever after they let CBNSat resume operation. I'm seriously confused. Well the government says that there is no discrimination and its a democratic country and crap. Hah..!! What do u call this....? all these problems are because the owner of CBN is a Tamil. Bullshit... !!

Ok now they are waiting for an intelligent report from the defense ministry. And when they don't find anything, they will keep on asking for time and reports from other ministries. U never know. These fuckers are capable of do that. ( even a report from the water board... Hee heee)

If I'm not mistaken, The President him self had told the Media ministry to give the license, etc... what happened to that. So all in all, these Fuckers don't care of what the CJ or the precedent says. I had so much of respect for the CJ but it's all gone.

Guess what..! I'm happy in away to know that there are people (CBNSat Subscriber Unit) who will fight for our rights and to be apart of it even though I'm not directly involved. But I will give my fullest support to CBNSat and the CBNSat Subscriber Unit.

The Blog Admin. thank you for initiating having a forum as such.

I totally agree.

Why can't CBNSat have a press conference where the CBNSat Management and the CBNSat Subscriber Unit whit some representatives.

As far as I know only TNL TV had programs regarding this problem.

Why are the other private TV Channels not doing anything. The best would be to have a press conference. I don't know how practical it is to have a press conference with the media officials. However, CBNSat should have a press conference and educate and spred the news abut the situation to everyone.

Come to think of it, It has been over 2 months and how does CBNSat run this business with out any revenue?.

If there is a possibility of having a TV program, more like a discussion with CBNSat Management and the CBNSat Subscriber Unit, the best person would be Lasantha Wikramathunga. He is good when it comes to controversial and issues like these.

What a beautifully crafted conspiracy. They are all in it together. CJ, HE, Minister. Maybe the CBNSat lawyers were on their side too.
Couldn't the bloody lawyers have fought harder without accepting the lame excuse. National Security my ass!! We have so much more serious national security issues than CBNSat. In fact CBNSat will help security by keeping the masses entertained, and in their homes and out of trouble.
Before using this national security crap on CBNSat, these bastards must get the citizen alert and neighborhood watch through the 119 systems in proper place. That way the Dickmans Rd and the Green Path bombs could have been avoided, if the authorities took seriously the calls they got from citizens. Instead, our CID is busy writing reports to bring down a peaceful TV service.
I think our present rulers and justice system gives new meaning to a "Failed State". So dear HE, dont fight the world when they call us a failed state. You and your goondas are making our beautiful mother lanka into a failed state.
God Bless Sri Lanka!
