CBNSat Subscribers Unite - On Line Petition

Yesterday was an important day for the subscribers of CBNSat as a group of subscribers met to discuss the actions that can be taken by CBNSat Subscribers as a whole. The name of the group is CBNSat Subscribers Unite.

At this meeting the customers came up with a plan to make the voice of customers of CBNSat heard.

Accordingly the group will meet with authorities and then hand over a petition to courts and then to the minister and eventually the president.

If none of the above work out it was decided to take legal action against the officials involved and we sincerely hope that the authorities will solve the matter before this stage.

All CBNSat customers please email cbnsat@gmail.com with your account number and please sign your online petition at

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/cbnsat/petition.html

Let's stand up for our rights as CBNSat Customers and forward this link to all your friends who are CBNSat Customers.

Yes friends ! Web is the fastest and the easiest ! We could arrange a petition to be signed in a public place like VMD park in a particular date , time.

Even then the outstation people its not feasible to come to colombo just to sign this petition. Waht we could do is to spread the word and maybe sms our friends so that they could sign the petition from wherever they are.

They could visit a local cybercafe or maybe even "nanasala" (LOL) to sign the petition.

We know that big fellows are behind this. But we will not give up till the end. All of us are committed towards one goal now.

That is to bring justice to 25,000 victimised homes of mother Lanka.

We have formed a very strong Unite with proffessionals at the front. I beleive we could make that difference. For that we need active support of our fellow subscribers ! You have to come forward and voice out for your rights !

Sign the petition !

We'll take it from there !!!

TOGETHER WE'LL SEE THE LIGHT !!!

Here's a thought!

I'm from way out side colombo. I know a few people around my home town who are subscribers of CBNsat. I can rally them around CBNSat Subscribers Unite if i go and meet them. I'm willing to do that for the good of all the people concerned. I guess this is the way forward for us. Appoint representatives who are willing to go and meet people. Or better, there might be self appointed reps who are willing to go an extra mile. We must get the subscribers attention and educate them on the current situation. Some people think that nothing has been done so for by any one to get CBNsat back. Only a handful people who access the Internet know about this blog or worst still the CBNSat Subscribers Unite. We can not just put a petition on the net and wait till something positive will happen. We must push this further and I will start today.

P.S. I will publish the progress later.

We have circulated an email and and SMS to the contacts we got to cbnsat@gmail.com

Then it will go as a chain letter among their contacts. It's true that we cant get 1000's of signatures. But please don't get disappointed. Get as much as you can. Even for the people who do not have access to internet regionally they can get together and visit cyber cafes or maybe "Nanasala"s to access this petition and sign.

Don't forget that we are representing all the 25,000 victimised consumers. What we want to do is the consumer be aware of their rights and fight to get it.

We are going to do a massive pressure campaign next week to the relevant authorities from the customers unite.

We have a very strong front ! All we need is your suuport in our back to move forward fast !!!!
So get more people to sign the petition by Monday !

Dear Liberated,

CBNSat is acting on their side to get justice done to them ! We are an independant group of consumers who are fighting to safeguard our rights. We may be going towards one goal. But we are 2 different fronts fighting for our own rights.

Winning of either party will definitely benefit the other.

So we have to concentrate on our rights from our fron as the "Subscribers Unite".

Dear Rabbithole,

Thanx for going that extra mile for the benefit of the subscribers ! Actually we need such active participation from the outstation people like you.

It will give the real strength for our Unite to grow strong.

Good response my dear fellow subscribers. Encouraging to see more outstation subscribers also participating.

PLease spread the news as much as possible. We have to collect signatures soon. If we could get more by the 1st Aug we could proceed fast with the next step.

For the outstation subscribers who do not have internet connectivity you could form small groups and one can enter the details with the others consent

This had been dragged for long and we have to do whatever as soon as possible !!!!

A BIG THANK YOU ON BEHALF OF THE WORKING COMMITTEE TO ALL THE SUBSCRIBERS WHO HAVE COME FORWARD TO FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS !!!

FOR THE NEW SUBSCRIBERS THEIR ACCOUNT NUMBER IS ON THE PURCHASE RECEIPT OR THEY COULD CALL CBNSAT CUSTOMER CARE HOTLINE TO GET IT

We should be ashamed as Buddhists to discriminate a person because he is a tamil. The government is showing double standards here.

THEY ARE BRINGING DOWN SICK TERRORIST LEADERS TO COLOMBO TO GIVE THEM MEDICINE AND BE CURED TO CONTINUE THIER TERRORIST ACTIVITIES AS USUAL (DAYA MASTER)

AND ACCUSING TAMILS LIVE IN COLOMBO AS LINKED TO TERRORISTS AND SHUTTING DOWN THEIR BUSINESSES.

WHAT IS THIS ???? DON'T UNDERSTAND !

Curious Kani said...

hey Lisura

Shall we only focus on the matter at hand and forget about the ills of our nation for a little while. We can't cure all the ills and this blog is not the place for that. So shall we pleas all focus on getting the CBNsat back and forget all the other differences for little while!

Sorry guys I was not in Colombo last week. When you all are meet again?

Curious Kani said...

Let's not argue on this!

I didn't totally disprove the point which Lisura had made.
My point is, yes, it might be the real reason behind closing of CBNsat.
But for "CBNSat Customers Unite" it doesn't have any value. Why, simply because it is very difficult to prove the discrimination in a court for a third party like us.
If some discrimination took place it is up to CBNsat to prove it in a court of justice.

That's why i said, we should not lose our focus on this. If we want to be independent of everything, we should do that in a mature way.

Curious Kani said...

True! But we should have a scope! For an infant union like us the scope should not be too big.

Let’s look at the events one by one.

Because there’s racial discrimination someone thought of getting rid of CBNsat.

Because of good officers at CID the SBNsat got sealed.

Because of not so competent justice system the case got tangled.

Because of the corrupt officers the CBNsat case has been dragged on.

There maybe other points I have missed.
I try my best not to be negative here. If we are going to fight racism, what about other things.
Our only hope is to navigate our self and CBNsat through this jungle in a different path. It is up to us to think of that path and just focus on that.

Lisura said...

You took it wrong by dear rabbithole. I just stated a fact which is behind all this. Just to show that this whole scenario is created by interested parties having a different goal on their minds.

THAT IS TO CLOSE DOWN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS VENTURE FOR THEM TO ENTER THE MARKET. SO THE POLITICIANS GOT INVOLVED USING THEIR POWERS TO CREATE THAT SPACE FOR THEIR FAVOURITES.

All what they do is drag this forever and we all know a company will not servive without an income and by the time that these people drag the simple issues CBNSat will be bankrupt and shutdown automatically.

What our worry is that as subscribers we are caught in the middle of this battle and have to suffer as a result.

Curious Kani said...

Yes, that's exactly where i want your attention should be.

That's why we should have a DEFINED scope within our LIMITS.

There's nothing bad in fighting injustice as long as we don't lose focus in our cause.

What i suggest is racism is bigger subject for us to handle, even though it's the true cause of this problem. If racism is what we are up against with, what are we going to do about is more important to me than anything else.
