MoD Decision due to today (Sep 4th)

The Ministry of Defense is to give it's decision on CBNsat today. Well at least that is what was said at the last Supreme Court hearing. In another two days it will be three months since CBNsat was shutdown.

We hope that the MoD will give a favourable decision today taking into consideration the plight of the over 20,000 subscribers of CBNsat and over 300 staff members. We also have unconfirmed reports that the MoD will give it's decision on LBN also today which was postponed from its original date of Sep 1st.

We would like our readers to keep us updated on the decision by the MoD as well as any other information on CBNsat.

unfortunately i see the funny side of it too. considering 20000 customers? nobody considers anybody on this land. it's similar to the government's 'we are committed to peace', 'so and so pointed out the goverment's commitment to peace', 'we should join hands for peace', 'the time has come for sri lankans to thing about peace' slogan that we see and hear everyday on news. hilarious in a very cold sense.

Even if a elrction is on the offering they would not care, because they are of the opnian that the customer base of CBNsat is not the type who voted for the chinthanaya or will ever do in future.

But the most alarming thing is how the president of the country could be fooled by this hidden hands to beleive on this baseless aligations and resort in to such level of intimidation against CBN.

It is a fact that the country is now run by storytellers such as Hulugalla,Abeywardena,Kariyapperuma,Vas Gunawardena etc.

You can see what they have done to the country.

We have to go for the last push guys! There’s no point trying to put the responsibility on others.

We have to get organized in a more orderly way.

This is where I praise JVP. Although they act headless they have the strength to mobilize their carders for any occasion at any time.
We can be like them or at least try it once for god sake. On the other hand, what have got to lose??

RABITHOLE,The only way to sort it out is through the president (Since he has already intervened) and the guys Romesh has mentioned are virtualy with him all day and some are directly involved in the closure of CBNsat and still continue poison the president the same way.

Whatever we go through we have to be armed with something to counter this inner cabinet and even obtaining a appointment is not possible as entire presidents office is poisoned by these people.

TOday could be the last day of work for the Dudes and dudedets at CBNsat . Cause if MOD says NO....Then No it is....wether the "No" was a qualified openion or not would not matter. This is Sri lanka.....

There is some hope of setting the President straight and getting him away from these guys who are poisoning him every day.
There was a nice article recently in the papers about the Daily News Editor being removed by Priyadarshana Yapa. The Editor was appointed by the President himself. When he found out about it, he immediately ordered the reinstatement of the Editor(through the influence of one of the Rajapaksa brothers).
The way I look at it is, if we convince the President enough, he may go against the wishes of his goondas(Huluballa and others)and do what is right for its citizens.

Then again, I may be living in la..la...land. In that case, I just need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Hey its worth the try. We got nothing more to loose.

Its bloody frustrating!! I dont drink. Maybe I should start drinking to get over the fact that I cant watch some quality TV.

Hey cableguy,

The president being influenced... is that what you think. Ignorance is bliss...but you seem to be bordering ecstasy....

What do you think… H.E is not aware of what is happening...How old do you think he is to be influenced...9...10....Gees Sri Lanka has a President who has no will nor ideas of his own but does what others around him tell him to....Do you know what that sound like mate....You make him sound like a puppet on a string....

Please doesn’t start drinking....You seem high enough....

if LBN blog statement of 2 weeks postponement is correct, then it will fall on the same day of the supreme court hearing.

This cannot be a coincidence but part of a greater conspiracy

doest this look familiar.it first started with MC and now the same game with SC.where does it end?even CJ is not addressing the injustice been meted out to CBN and its subcribers.

as one commented they will drag this case till both CBN and LBN is closed and give a verdict which will be too late to be considered as justice by any sensible people.
