Ya.. I saw it...
Do you think this will change anything..? I hope so.. but I have my doubts.
Hope for the best
This shold be just the start. Let's get more action involved. I am suprise to see no action from CBNSat employees. Are they sleping...or do they have enough money to live if CBNSat close down.
I was think abt that too..
What's wrong with them... It's their Jobs that's on the rocks. looks like they r not bothered to do or say anything abut it. Are they waiting for "US (CBNSat Subscriber Unit) to do the dirty work...?
According to the LBN blog and the latter posted by LBN to Customers they say that within two weeks they are hoping to get a positive response. But the facts are not very clear and not up to the point.
Anybody has any ideas??
This is great. But if CBN management could arrange a meeting and express their concerns may help a lot.
Could anyone please update us on what happened at the CBNsat Magisterial Court hearing on thursday (24th Aug).

From the day one CBN is aggrasive & misled the story .this is the resultts. No need to appleed to the President. TRC & MOD directly come under him.
I think we can get more publicity if you adveritise this in private tv channels.. @ about 8:00pm.. then this will surely go into The President ear...
The most powerful force in this drama is not the customers. It's the CBNsat employees. So far we have seen nothing from them. 250 employees are definetely more powerful than 250 customers.
I am wondering why this LBO, Business report in tv channels do not talk about this issue. In the business world the CBNSat cosure is a major problem. But it is not been the same with these programmes. I wonder whether these programmes actualy provide reliable information.
I agree with NotBloodyFooled. What has the Management and the employees have done till now. They kept too much hope on the Lawyers and Courts. But after three months where do we stand??
Only Customer unite have done something and made this issue public. If you look back one could clearly see the untill SLRC report came out CBNSat was also not sure whether they were guilty or not. After that report only CBNSat has come out to public.
I am not trying to put CBNSat down..but to wake them up from their slumber. They should have been on air by now if they acted properly.
I don't know how the so called lads and lasses will find money to do their hair and nails after CBNSat close down!!
So what's now?? Is CBNSat waiting for his Excellency to call them and say that he saw the nice ad in the paper??
Wake up!! Customers are with you. Lets work together and get our CBNSat on air soon.
One more idea.
Can we send the PDF ad to all the email adresses of government institutions. Can we also fax the english/Sinhala ad to all the fax numbers. Specially TRC,SLRC, BOI, President's office ..etc.
As Alf said president won't call CBN and say that he saw the advertisement. Atleast management should try to fix an appoinment with HE and discuss this. I'm sure he will consider about employess because he also worked with unions. We all must agree that after the initial press conference CBN was not in the surface. Now it's right time to organize a press conference and raise their voice.
Can we get the Private Bus owners association to stike on behalf of CBNSat employees!!
LOL
Well..if President does not show any positive response, then it's better for CBNSat to pack their bags and leave.
Poor We can only expose the Corrupted and ensure that at next election these goons does not come to power.
For 17K, I think we should forget about it. Wish we were atleast able to use the Dish & LNB to get another connection..but i think it's impossible. I am planning to keep the decorder as a souvinir.
